However, learning that you get wall pieces when upgrading past 20 is tempting. I have no desire to pay donuts for Bart and Lisa's wall pieces.
Past level 20?? Ouch that will certainly mean you have a high defence wont it
My guess the max is 25 hours (houses) and 28 hours for a castle. That is what other Springfield has. So if a random saw those times then would probably be discouraged.
Mines at 16 or 17 hours, but after seeing this and seeing much less people going after me - I've now stopped upgrading. I will just upgrade my castles until I see the town defense as the next one, then stockpile until the end of the event. I feel like to get gold, I have to do the attacking now - as the first few days I was a prime target and started off strong.- who looks at the times anyways?
i attack the first thing i see with 1 nerd. NeoSEC28 wrote:

No, defense does not get higher past 20. Past 20 you are paying elixir for walls. One wall each level up. It's either 105K or 150K. I've seen conflicting reports.- 4junk3000New SpectatorI think I'm doing it similar to easter. We must be generous with weak need attacks so they can collect high defense totals.
The more nerds i get, the more individual attacks i can make on neighbors.
Right now i am doing 3 nerds per neighbor, single attack.
This gives them the most time to defend and collect. Soon I'll be able to do 4, then 5 per neighbor, increasing everyone's chance to collect defense.
Eventually people should realize that giving each other the max opportunity to collect defense is most efficient use of nerds.
It seems to be working when i compare my gold totals to other neighbors.
Only forum diehards like Neglecterino and Neuroheart are beating me, but i know they are playing every 2 hrs. I'm doing a 4-8-12 schedule. I just hit the elixir prize package @ 9500.
Which didn't add to my total. Have to go complain about that now... - but if you're not upgrading the castles then why play at all? :?
- With the defense dropoff I don't care if other people attack me. I'm not counting how many times I tap shields in a day, but it's surely under 50 attacks per day. That's 500/250 if nothing gets destroyed. From overnight attacks I get 6-9k elixirs and 2-3k golds, plus the attack incomes during the day, so that's a much greater income than defense.
So in the end I prefer less visits from people skipping my high defense, if this means having more nerds available every 2 hours. 4junk3000 wrote:

Not anymore, unfortunately. It's a good thing I got a jump start, because classes have started. (I also had a health issue hit me yesterday and couldn't play much at all.)
I don't know how active I'll be able to be this semester, to be honest. We'll see.MaxxSpider wrote:

And you must not be the only one! Even though my town is defense level 6, I had 30 something buildings attacked this morning. More have been coming in throughout the day, from both randoms and neighbors.
It's not much, but I get the red dice 1/50 of the time (supposedly).
I'm hedging my bets with some attack, some defense, some neighbors, more random.
Currently sending out 60 nerds every 2 hrs.neuroheart wrote:

Get better soon and have a great semester.
I'll be slacking off soon also, so also glad I got a jump start.- stirred an interesting debate. Since the randoms seem to be on average rarely checking their towns it might be worthwhile now knowing you can unlock the walls.
