wild west had concrete blocks?

This is an interesting thought, which I had to look up...

The American Frontier (i.e. the old west) was a period that lasted from the late 1600s to 1912. The Concrete Masonry Unit can be traced back to the origin of Portland cement in 1872

So, it looks like there was some overlap, albeit, not very much...

Probably not concrete blocks, but adobe bricks that were quite easily made and around for thousands of years. This building technique was used extensively by the Pueblo tribe well before any settlers showed up.

^this. Europeans (Spanish missions, etc.) applied whitewash to the adobe to color it white.

So very possible to have concrete blocks in the Old West era which is considered to be 1800-1910(ish)
