I'm not a completionist so the fact that I did not "complete" the event and get every prize was ok for me. At the end, having received a few new buildings and characters made it worth it to me (even though there were a few more things I would have liked to have gotten). I'm not sure if there is a different response from people depending on what they ended up actually winning. It is clear that receiving prizes based on the element of chance was not popular with many people. But for me I'd prefer to be a little frustrated and very engaged to not caring about the game at all.

But I would rather have an event then no event at all. Free stuff is free stuff and I will gladly take it but that doesn't necessarily mean I have to like it either.

I am joining jraffa50 and monicaL9 in these sentiments.

I will go a little further in stating unequivocally that a dozen Easter '14s are preferable to a single CoC.

That's backwards to me. As best I can express at the moment, please consider the following premises:
- I am only interested in what keeps my interest.
- Overcoming a frustration is incredibly satisfying.
- Things that do not interest me are encouraged to spend a whole lot less effort trying to make me interested, to the benefit of all concerned.
