Doughnuts are getting taken away
I received a donut from hitting the friend icon above the cannon earlier today, logged out and back in and it disappeared.

Unfortunately it's truly random, so you may get two in a row or none for days. I've been on a roll, getting one per day for the last few days, but that won't last. But I'll keep visiting my friends, because it's the most effective way to get free(mium) donuts.
