Your post is really really helpful. I hope it gets sticky. Thank you very much for your time!
Well it looks like someone is getting a little over excited about an index ;)
I didn't know how to express my feelings for such a lovely index :) Anyway, I hopefully 'corrected' it.
I loved the "y" at the end of stick in the initial post...now I'm wondering what it read after the 1st edit!?!? :D
Hey, just saw your 'statement-question' (I don't get e-mail notifications). I am a non-native English speaker, and I used 'sticky' in the wrong way at the wrong time. This time I just wanted to be sure (that's why I chaged it). Thanks a lot for the index again.
I hope you don't think we were making fun of you; that's a mistake most native English speaking people would make. "Sticky" just sounds funnier and more sexual than "stickied." ...just our minds being dirty!Simpsons00001 wrote:

Oh! of course, I didn't think that you were making fun of me. Besides, me and my colleague tease each other when we use a word wrongly. I have a shining record! I used 'stick' or 'sticky' (don't remember) wrongly in a sexual way in a lecture. Last week, in another lecture, I was just going to explain a case dealing with prohibition of sex dolls. But I changed my mind and wanted to touch upon 'state measures' first before the case. And I said 'now we will examine the concept of sex measures'. Today, with the same students, I was explaining a case on prohibiton of import of pornographic materials into the UK. The only thing I had to say was that since production of such materials in the national territoy was allowed, the UK couldn't rely on public morality. But I formulated it similar to that 'well, since they could make their own national porn movies, they couldn't rely on public morality'. Friday I must talk about a case regarding slot machines. Working on correct pronunciation. Anyway, they love me and I love them!- ^^^ That is too funny, dedemlale! I'm glad you've got a sense of humor to laugh it off. :)
- I still cannot help but laugh to the point of crying when I go back and read the thread, not because of the wrong word choice, that happens, and I am very conscious of that with my spanish, so I understand, but bahepton's response just is too funny.
Agreed, great that you can laugh about it, and I felt the same that this needed to be pinned or stickied to the top. - My hubby is Swedish. When we got together, my english was fallling apart (thanks to body lanugage). Anyway, my English has been improved especially with him and at work, but sense of humor = that's all I need when it comes to certain 'uncontrollable' things such as language. I am doing my best but no way! I am still making ridiculous mistakes. I wish that certain countries adopt a better policy towards foreign language education. When I was a teenager, I was taught English at school but apparently not enough. Almost all movies were translated to the native language; no subtitles, no access to foregin TV channels etc (things are hopefully getting better). Here, even kids can speak perfect English. I am really impressed!

I've been tossing in post ref links in the replies of several threads (hope i said that right) over weekend. Hope it might help you add a few more to the directory here. Thanks! RSommons wrote:

Toss them in this thread! I usually don't look at a thread until it has 100-200 replies, unless it has a title that leads me to believe there will be new game related information within it. I have and will be spending significantly less time on the forum, so I can only commit to adding links posted here.- Interactions with EA, Origin, & Apple Customer Service

I thought I might be doing it wrong. I thought you were some internet wizard that could search post links or whatever. I'll throw them in here. Hah!
So um, "dumb a$$" might not get you the viewers you are looking for. I could be wrong.- Thanks for the links H1 and McCheez! I will add these shortly. If you can't tell, I'm a big fan of informational threads, so my forum-woody salutes you guys!
@RSommons, I wish I was guilty of the guru skills you thought I had...maybe someday...until then, post as many links as you like, it only takes a few motivated minutes of my time to add new links when they are posted. The temporary name change of the thread was just a semi-comical/jerky/experimental response to an earlier conversation.
