*Not getting new quests to build structures! Keep playing and they should come. There are many quests between the structure quests which must be completed to unlock the structure quests. Try giving all your characters tasks before you go to bed. the next day, when they are all done, click their thumbs up's and wait a minute to see if any of them have new quests (exclamation points over their heads). If not, repeat. Also, sometimes quests won't appear in the task book. If any of your characters have a task at the top of their list highlighted in yellow, that is a quest that must be completed. Some people have gotten stuck trying to get Groundskeeper Willie and say that sending Lisa and Millhouse to school will unlock the Willie quest (I have not confirmed this).
*WHAT DO I GET FROM VISITING FRIENDS? A set, small amount of money and xp. The amount is the same regardless of what you tap, or the star rating of the town (or your town). You will get a one time reward of 5 donuts after you begin adding friends. If memory serves, this reward comes after 5 friends. Spraying graffiti will remain until cleaned up by the town's owner, which will get him some cash, xp, and best of all will add to his righteousness star rating- one half star per mop up. Aside from graffiti, clicking structures in a neighbors town grants the structure a one time bonus that is explained later in this thread. Also, you can no longer steal Lemon Trees, and can only get them from Mystery Boxes.
*YOU NEVER NEED TO SPEND DONUTS TO COMPLETE A QUEST! At first it may seem like you need to spend donuts to complete certain quests, especially the quests in the task book that are related to structures (such as collect money from 9 restaurants). Spending donuts completes this task immediately OR you can simply wait and the quest will complete itself after you have clicked 9 restaurants (or the same restaurant 9 times over any length of time).
*DONUTS AREN'T AS PLENTIFUL AS THE TUTORIAL WOULD HAVE YOU BELIEVE! I don't know if there are a set amount of donuts hidden in the trash, as there is a set amount of burning bushes, or if it is a certain percentage chance for each trash you clean up. What I DO know is that they are very, very rare. I estimate either a less than 2% chance per trash, or maybe 3 per Springfield. I would love to hear from people who have unlocked all the land on this.
