Training in Career mode Hip Toss Bug won't work

Training is bugged in career mode. 1st off none of the gameplay settings such as stamina, power, movement speed work.

2nd and main problem is that I'm currently told to press R1 & A to do a hip toss in the clinch. But when I am in the clinch, holding R1+A, nothing happens.

I'm playing on Xbox Cloud because EA is too stupid to figure out that people on PC want to play their game.

It’s not that EA doesn't realise PC players want the game; they definitely do. Its absence from PC is strictly due to exclusivity with PS5 and Xbox. While a major advantage of remaining console-only is typically the lower number of cheaters in high-profile games, that's not the only factor here. EA is simply fulfilling contractual obligations and cutting costs by doing so.

    1. The Hip Toss Bug (RB/R1 + A)

The Hip Toss (R1 + A or RB + A on Xbox) is notoriously finicky in sparring. There are a few reasons why it might not be registering:

Stance Requirement: Some players have found that certain hip throws only trigger in Orthodox stance. If you are in Southpaw, try switching stances before initiating the clinch.

Positioning: The game often fails to count the move if you are against the cage. Try to keep the clinch in the center of the mat to ensure the animation registers as a successful "training objective".

The "Double Leg" Workaround: A known community fix for this specific training bug is to shoot for a double leg (LT + Y + B), immediately cancel it with RT, and then quickly hit RB + X (or A). For some reason, this "broken" sequence often triggers the credit for the hip toss in training.

    2. Broken Training Settings

The fact that your gameplay settings (stamina, power, movement speed) aren't working is a known issue where the career mode Game Style overrides your custom practice settings.

The Problem: In Career Mode sparring, the game often forces "Competitive" or "Realism" sliders regardless of what you set in the menus, meaning you can't use the training settings you might be looking for.

The AI Issue: In these sessions, the AI is also bugged; it often throws strikes that count toward your objective total or fails to reset its position, making technical challenges like the hip toss nearly impossible to complete.

    Hope it helps 🙏

Xbox Cloud Gaming significantly complicates these issues because it adds layers of latency and service-specific bugs to an already glitched Career Mode.

Settings Reset Bug: There is a documented issue where gameplay sliders (like stamina and damage) do not apply to training sessions. This bug is frequently reported by Xbox Cloud Gaming users, as the cloud instance may fail to save or load local "custom" slider profiles properly during the transition to a training session.

Input Latency & Grappling: The Hip Toss (R1 + A) is highly sensitive to timing. Because Cloud Gaming relies on streaming, even minor input lag (often 0.5 to 1 second) can cause the game to miss the simultaneous button press. The server might register R1 and A separately rather than as a combined move command.

Performance Variability: Users have noted that playing via the cloud can occasionally trigger a slow-motion effect during training sessions, which desyncs animations and makes clinch moves like the Hip Toss fail to execute
