Body health and stamina

Firstly, every update has essentially de-optimized this game in one aspect or another. Range and distance are all too familiar to UFC 5. Secondly, if my strategy is to reserve my stamina and throw minimally in the first round but my body health is affected or slightly depleted then my long term stamina is greatly reduced. My opponent may have thrown 100+ strikes at my block or in general and will have more stamina than me only because I took a bit of damage to the body and I’ve only thrown 50 or less shots. This game needs a serious rehab. In my opinion, the beta gameplay was really good. All that needed to be done was a bit of stamina slider edits like in the custom settings in fight now. Maybe a bit of stamina cost increase for strikes and takedowns. Slowing down the kick speed and movement speed just a tad. Now it’s kinda like ufc 5 in how the fighters feel and strike. Pocket fighting still reigns supreme rarely any other strategies are successful without taking too much damage or gassing. Combo central. Doesn’t feel like an mma game rather just another fighting game.

  • Yeah, bro, you’re **bleep** right. But writing about it here is just pointless. I’ve been posting about the game’s issues since the July patches, and every single update that’s come out has only made things worse.

At least you’re familiar with the series starting from the 5th installment; I’ve played every single one, going all the way back to the PlayStation 3 era—back when the 3rd game had Anderson Silva on the cover.

I’ve played everything from the first EA-developed title onwards. As a fan, I’m interested in every aspect of MMA: striking, the clinch, grappling, ground-and-pound, and submissions—but right now, it’s just a disaster.

I used to play with the same tactical approach as you—conserving stamina in the first round—but that doesn’t work at all anymore.

The stamina mechanic is broken; you can get knocked out by fighters like Conor or Topuria, even when they’re spamming strikes on an empty gas tank.

You can’t even punish someone who’s completely gassed, even after you’ve successfully blocked their takedown attempts.

And the strike registration is just awful.

The game actually worked much better during early access—that’s a fact. It was fine at launch, too, right up until that July patch. Ever since then, every single update has just been...
