Ability to change consumables at will

During a service interval we should be able to swap out consumable parts that wear gradually (such as brakes, clutch, gearbox etc) even if they haven't turned to "light damage" yet.

Too often I get to a Long Service point with nothing to do but fix some bodywork scuffs, then at the next one there's suddenly all these consumables taking up the service time when I might have some actual damage to fix to suspension or steering or whatever.

In such an instance, it would've been helpful to jump ahead at the prior service and swap out new brake pads or gearbox as I had the time and space to do it.
