TLDR sorry I’m lonely old man and like the sound off my own voice @c62a35f65d81694f I’ve always been the opposite, especially in F1 games as I like to physically race on track and Codemasters Ai has always been good and fun to race against and unlike some I loved how aggressive it was last year. But I think devs listened to certain YouTuber that cried how the Ai were to aggressive every time they turned into him after he dive bombed them from over half second back🙄. And codies being codies go from one extreme to another and made Ai pathetically easy and weak this year. But to properly fix the Ai would require retraining it which would take months. So it looks and feels to me like they artificially increased its difficulty by using cheats and scripts to control Ai cars. ESP second half of longer races. When they stop getting damage and no matter how hard i crash into them. I bounce off them and sent crashing into a barrier. They don’t even move off line or slow down. Tested it many many times same result. So I can’t see any reason to play when the result is already decided before the race. If your team is 5th in performance rankings the game will do its utmost to make sure 8 Ai cars finish ahead. Normally do up to 900 hours on each F1 game. 350 hours in and I’ve deleted it.

I know this game has its issues but as it’s my first rally game I enjoy how awesomely fun it is and how excited I get when I nail a stage or event. I don’t care if RBR physics are more realistic or Dirt 2.0 looks prettier For me it’s how the gameplay makes me feel. Where Every Stage wants to and will punish you. Which I feel especially nearing the end of long stages. I’m an old man but still I can feel nervous excitement building when I know so far I’ve kept perfect step dancing Down the stage. But one slip up and it’s over. But when i make it to the end, personal best time and zero damage. I’ll jump up and down and punch the air and scream “I am a driving god”. Last time i enjoyed a game this much was way back when I dominated all in Bad Company 2.

So for me I love that the dev team have given me that feeling.

Obviously I want the game issues for everyone to be fix now. However not sure if you’re aware. I don’t know details myself other than a good chunk of Codemasters staff have been laid off in the last couple of weeks. So I imagine theirs a lot of disruption and reorganising going on. for whatever the circumstances. I have empathy for anyone losing job security just before Christmas

Pluscfor a good few years now all games release in similar states. I tend to spend first few months off a new game playing around with it before I get my sweat on.

I’ve posted countless long long posts on these forums and codemasters forums that I hate what the game industry has become. Also having being a EA champion since EA 22 I express my and the player’s frustrations with the F1 games to any EA employee i can. And I and the other F1 champions argue the players corner at every opportunity.
