EA SPORTS™ WRC - Patch 1.4.0 Discussion Thread

Hey drivers, The newest patch will be available from December 14 across all platforms. You can find out what's in this patch in this thread HERE. Need some help? Something in the patch not work...

How hard is admitting you just wanted that juicy Holiday money, and so you decided to release a mess and fix it later, like the rest of the industry is doing?

Gaming is doomed, I lost all the trust I had for Codemasters 😞

@Javierdsv Totally agree... Sooooooooooo sad, what happened game industry nowdays.

I remember, then Dirt came out. It was on Steam platform and early access and cos it was "early access", its was very cheap, of course not very many tracks (only 3 or 4 locations, I think)... But game was absolutely beautiful from the beginning and absolutely amazing from the beginning!!! I still remember, that I installed game, took Mini Cooper and right away to the track... First hairpin downhill and... OFF! But it was soooo much fun - it really feels "right" - the track, car, handling, weight of the car - all feels soooo "right", I just couldn't stop laughing - soooooooo enjoyable!!! 🙂 And even then Dirt was "early access" status, I don't remember ANY problems from the beginning! And graphics looked beautiful - to be honest - current WRC is like from early 2000s!...

It's extremely hard to even think of buying future racing games made by Codemasters.

But even sadder - I don't know, can I trust Sony and Playstation anymore? Honestly - I just don't dare to buy games from the Playstation Store anymore! I was so naive and thought, that if the game is on the shelf in PS Store, then it meets at least some kind of minimum standards... But I was sooooooooooo wrong! ;(

    @Toy4584 Back in PS3 days when online gaming really took off. PS3 patch updates for games I played always came out a few days after Xbox because Sony wouldnt sign off on any update until they tested and were satisfied it would work as intended. Good ole days

      And as I remember from PS2 - no patching or updates at all - just final CD and thats it! And 99% games I bought works like they should! No problem at all!

      I miss these days then games are made 100% ready. And from the next day then game was out theres nothing devs can do AND they can literally focus 100% on the next version!

      But nowdays?
      1. Game released.
      2. From the next day after game launch developer is 100% busy fixing bugs and at least next 3-6 months.
      3. Because devs are busy with fixing bugs previous release, theres no chance they can start developer next version.
      4. 3-6 months before next versions deadline, dev can at last focus on next version.
      5. Because at least 50% of time for next version was lost, they gonna relese another HALF-FINISEHD game...
      6. And it all repeats from the first point till infinity...
