Hello. Here is the feedback I have gathered from my own experiences so far. All of it in one go.
1. Please bring back 'manual + h-pattern' option for the transmission setting, which makes it so that the game automatically selects which shifter (button mapping) is used by the user depending on the car driven. I really like the separated clutch control setting and the fact that you can finally have manual clutch in sequential cars, so please don't remove that feature in the process. Would also be cool if the game would automatically allow shifting without clutch on cars that had h-pattern shifter with "dog box" gearbox.
2. In the clubs section of the main menu you can't see the remaining time of the current club event unless you enter the club. This is pretty annoying as someone coming from DiRT Rally 2.0 (DR2). I also wish the clubs were automatically ordered by the time remaining in the current event just like in DR2
3. You can't see the club name like in DR2 when running clubs and the leader board pops up after stage. I think this is pretty important for streamers. Also after stage it only shows a stage time leader board from the stage you just finished, which is nice but I wish you could also see the overall standings (and time) so far after every stage, not just at the end.
4. The instrument cluster of the game feels very big and can cover a significant portion of the road with some head cam and fov setups. As and attachment I have a screenshot showing that. I wish there was an option to make the cluster smaller and maybe more transparent as well.
5. A replay camera between the driver and co-driver seats from which you could see the whole dashboard would be cool. Similar to a certain replay camera in Gran Turismo 7 which I have thought to be quite nice.
6. Native resolution looks terrible on 1440p monitor with or without low AA. With low AA the native resolution looks very sharp, in fact in my opinion too sharp. There is also lots of flickering artefacts and it just looks rough. Now if you add higher levels of AA, the image becomes much smoother, but way too blurry. I have found that using high or better AA together with quality Fidelity FX up scaling and 74 sharpening gives the best balance of sharpness and smoothness currently. However native resolution should not be so bad.
7. Upscaling to 1440p even with quality Fidelity FX looks like terrible pixelated mess when using low or medium AA. I feel like this should not be the case. My GPU is AMD Radeon 7900XT.
8. Why are the field of view setting hiding real fov values behind some extra number. Do the devs think people are too stupid to understand degrees? Or do they actually want to test whether people (like lot of sim racers) who care about this are smart enough to convert degrees into game values (assuming the correspondence is linear)? Anyway I wish the game would just have the values as degrees. I think 18°-68° vertical is pretty good range.
9. There is no way Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 6 is h-pattern car. Or maybe there was a h-pattern variant, I don't know, but the car Tommi Mäkinen drove for example was manual sequential. It was such in DR2 as well. Why move it from Groub A (which it actually is) to be with WRC cars (like it was in real life sure) and make it worse by downgrading it to h-pattern?
