Have different cutting standards for Clubs vs. Time Trial, Moments, etc.
A big topic of conversation is how to handle egregious cuts without punishing someone who's legitimately just lost control of their car. I suggest that there be different standards for competitive leaderboards (Time Trial, Moments) vs. Clubs and more casual playstyles, such as Career.
If a player blows their run in TT or Moments, their run is either over or they've lost any chance of a top-level placement. So an aggressive penalty system isn't so egregious. But in Clubs, players can police their own lines on Racenet. So having a bunch of automated penalties is an unwanted imposition. Just let the players check each other's runs, and report to their league stewards if there's a problem.
Likewise, in Career mode, people aren't competing for times on a leaderboard, so there's simply no reason to have the same aggressive anti-cutting tactics.
