That doesn't work, unfortunately. Well, it does - but only until you quit & restart the game, update the game, or maybe even restart your computer. I've tried it a number of times in the past and it only ever works for one session. Next time I boot the game, pause is remapped to the same useless & inconvenient default location and the ability to rebind is removed.
In windows put file read only and only put write when need change something. It's total brainfart with game maker not allow make button maps like you like..maybe make bug report and problem section topic and maybe someone wake up and change it
