Forum Discussion
Hey there,
We have seen several threads about the Livery Editor functionality. I have merged all the threads into this one so all the feedback is in the same place. I hope this prevents the different suggestions from getting lost due to different threads about the same feature being created.
I will keep merging more threads here.
Thanks for your suggestions!

1) Please add an option to go to "overview" mode, so you can spin round the car and see what you have done at any point. This should be accessible from all menus within the livery editor.
2) Please set the 'livery pattern selection' menu to "preview" patterns before selecting them. At the moment, you have to select the pattern and the back out of another menu, which has a delay and is a pain in the backside.
3) Please add more patterns to the livery editor. Not everyone wants to faff about with the (really crude and clunky) decal editor, and would prefer to select some colours/patterns and get on with it. I'm sure the community would happily create some for you (me included).
4) Consider an auto-layout generator for sponsors, perhaps with a primary sponsor and sone secondary ones. This worked really well in Dirt 4, and meant you could just select the layout you wanted without spending hours placing every logo. It might also allow you to control how brands are displayed, meaning real sponsors could be happier with their inclusion...?
5) As a default, i suggest the bonnet, spoiler, wing etc take on the colours of the car set as part of the livery. If people really want to make them a different colour, I'm sure they will. But having to go through this extra step when applying 3 colours to a car is an absolute pain.
6) Please allow any created livery to be applied to any car.
7) Please consider allowing a personalised plate option, or a random plate generator. This should include a few different country plate options too, rather than just the default UK plate.
8) The sun strip within the livery editor seems excessively low. Please adjust upwards, or consider a setting to adjust its height before applying decals. This is difficult to do with decals alone, as the decals do not apply the perfect curved shape needed.
