Local Multiplayer (take turns in rally)

I have a friend I do time trials with when he comes round but it would be cool to be able to set up a rally and compete taking turns over various stages and conditions. At the moment it seems you can only set up rallies and custom championships for one player. It can't be hard to add the option for more can it? Just so 2 or more players can take turns posting their times in each stage before the next one.

  • Yes, this does seem like a fairly obvious oversight. I guess the thinking was for the longer stages who would want to watch someone for thirty minutes and then swap, but you could still set it up to have both players run simultaneously if you wanted.

The last CM rally game that had this option was probably CMR04 ~20 years ago, been missing it since.

We do  local multiplayer championships constantly, nothing quite like the fun of having beers and taking turns. We do this by creating a custom championship, saving it, loading and resetting progress to select another car and saving that version, so that every player has their own savegame. Then just taking turns and keeping track of progress and point in Excel.
