Terminal/Retire = New Car

When you get terminal damage or otherwise retire the car till the next day, the "mechanics should work all night" to give you a fresh car for the next day.

As it is, you start the next session with all of 45mins to fix critical damage on nearly every component of the car. It just isn't worth continuing, let alone on top of the massive penalty you incur for not finishing the prior stages.
