windows 11 auto HDR solution
Hello,
this is not a technical isse but a solution for players who would like to use windows 11 auto HDR since the native HDR of the game is bad and windows 11 auto HDR isn't compatible with ea wrc.
I found a solution and will give you a step by step instructions.
Windows 11 auto hdr can be forced with an app called "autohdr_force.exe" this will work in other games, like dirt rally 2.
Here I leave a step by step instructions, do exactly as bellow and do not skip any of them.
1- Turn on Windows HDR;
2- Set SDR windows brightness to 60;
3- On tv/monitor set dynamic tone maping off, HGiG ON;
4- Set tv/monitor screen brightness to 45;
5- Set tv/monitor luminance (pixel brightness) between 70-80 (I recommend 70 for EA WRC);
6- Set tv/monitor contrast to 100;
7- Set tv/monitor dynamic contrast to off;
8- Set tv/monitor black level to auto;
9- Set tv/monitor Gamma to 2.2;
10- Turn on win auto HDR;
11- Calibrate with windows HDR calibration app;
12- Use the application autohdr_force.exe made by legode (download it from github, follow the application instructions);
13- Open ea WRC;
14- Disable HDR in-game settings;
15- Set the brightness in-game settings to 60;
16- Done!
After this you are free to change Windows SDR brightness again I only recommend 60 for EA WRC;
I recommend trying different TV/Monitor/GPU settings profiles for better colors and constrast;
I'm using this settings on a LG C1, game version 1.3;
FPS mode;
Black Staliliser:10;
White Stabiliser:10;
Color depth 70;
White balance warm 40-50;
Fine tune dark areas: -16;
