Same problems on ps5. No way to use TH8 shifter as a handbrake. And button mapping on the wheel is simply wrong. X is switched with O and so fourth. Quite annoying.. That is on Thrustmaster T300RS.

I normally use my sequential gear shifter for the thrustmaster T300 as a handbrake. But the game isn’t recognising the sequential gear shifter/handbrake. Can’t bind it at all. I went back into dirt 2.0 and sure enough the handbrake is working. Anyone know a way of binding the shifter as a handbrake. Can’t play the game properly at the moment. Thanks

@SidewaysFinn seems like they are having an issue where the game isn't recognizing shifters.

@SidewaysFinn I used to use same setup on Dirt Using sequential as Handbrake & have same issue.game shows H shifter mod, but unable to bind as Handbrake.

I got the same problem. I have the TH8A shifter (and T300 Ferrari Integral wheel) and want to use it as a handbrake. I already tried to modify the device_defines.xml and got to change the type to handbrake - but still it says i double bind the shift pedals.Even without the xml modification i see in the general control menu that it registers button 9 and 10 when i use the shifter. Not 1 and 2 like when i use the shift pedals of the wheel. So not sure what is going on here.Can't really play properly until this is fixed ☹️

Yeah 100 % agree. Having the O button as the selection button is very very annoying. It’s X that’s always the selection button. Also back to the T300 & TH8A shifter. I connected the shifter to the T300 hub using the Din cable and now the shifter is picked up but if you try bind it as a handbrake it’s now basically saying your paddle shift is now your handbrake. Main issue is that the TH8A is not picked up via USB. I see a patch update let’s hope it’s in this. As I’m going mad

I’m wondering if the TH8A not been picked up be anything to do with the game saying I have a T300 RS when in fact it’s just the T300 I have. Under the list of T300 RS it says I have peddles, Wheel, Shifter and Thrustmaster TSS Handbrake. I don’t have a TSS handbrake

The ™ sim hub works as designed with ps5, however the game requires remapping theTSS in handbrake mode every time the game starts. That along with deadzone and saturation settings for all the pedals and the handbrake.

Good evening everyone! I am making this post hoping it will be useful for many of you. After 2 days of banging around because I couldn't use my TH8A as a handbrake (PC with TH8A connected usb), I finally managed to solve the problem by simply watching this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcX3NYMIO9E&ab_channel=InsideSimRacing
