@czr1210 Perhaps the cause is related to DNF's, but I don't think it's exclusively why. In my case and in a handful of cases I've seen reported here as well, it may be caused by player stage wins.
For mine, In a two stage event in Quick Play I won the first stage but finished 9th in SS2, and 11th overall (https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Ai-glitch/m-p/13168852/highlight/true#M1028). There were no retirements.
In another case, someone won the first three stages but finished 4th in the next stage, and the AI times above them only used SS4 times as their overall times.

Cool. It would be handy if this bug was acknowledged by EA, given it is totally game breaking. I've not seen any mention of it in pending fixes yet. And currently can't play career at all without wrongly losing
