I boought EA Sports WRC on steam and I tested WRC on Xbox Series X as 5 hours free trial.
I use Fanatec's CSL DD and v3 pedals on both platform, and I feel big gap between both 2 versions in play feel.
I feel strong steering assistance on steam version.
In details, the game assist steering angle strongly and automatically. I guess this assistance is for game pad.
Xbox version is quite similar play feeling with Dirt Rally 2.0, but steam version is much more casual.
I searched game settings to turn off this steering assistance but I could not find it.
I prefer Xbox version's play feel very much, so I guess steam version has some issue to addapt assitance for game pad automatically.
Please check the difference of play feeling on Fanatec's CSL DD.
Thank you

i have the same problem. Csl dd 8nm.
First noticed it when I switched from compatible mode to pc mode. Suddenly the steering is righting itself up and its close to impossible to get it to slide.
Switch back to compatible while in game on the stage and it turned back to normal.
Back to pc mode and it's like assisting again.
Restarted and calibrated in pc mode, restarted the game and it worked normally.
But today i adjusted some settings on the wheel, and then it turned back to this assisted kind of steering in both pc and compatible mode.
Everything is turned off in assists, calibrated, restarted multiple times but now it won't go back to normal.
Seems like it's thinking I'm using a controller or something.
