Cannot connect to EA Error Code 110

After installing the latest patch, 1.9, at first I ran into EA Server connection issues at the end of some Club or Moments stages. But since a day or 2 I cannot get the came to connect to the servers at all, meaning I can't do Clubs or Moments. I've tried just about everything that EA suggest as troubleshooting. I've rebooted my router, my pc multiple times, did the Clean Reboot thing (of which the description misses a lot of info on what to do AFTER EA!!!) Verified game files (Steam) Uninstalled the game, moved it to a different hard drive. Deleted some files and did a new game file verification. 

Nothing works. I cannot play the game in any form online. NEVER had this issue before 1.9.

It's been several days now, I'm at a loss.
