So far I've gotten this on career, championship mode and quick play championship. Seems that 100 AI is the most susceptible to this. 95 is a bit better.
New patch is releasing tomorrow and looks like still not fixed... Are they kidding?
And next patch will be in mid December...
Well, we have the patch notes for the next update, tomorrow, and nowhere it is mentioned this bug will be fixed, what a shame... Single player modes still unplayable, and worse than that, they said next update will be only mid December. So, at least 1 month untill we can play career mode without smashing AI times by 2 minutes randomly...

Yikes. If they still trying to pin it down and just figure it out, I'd hope they would hotfix it asap when it's fixed and not hold off until then.
Another month (plus the weeks since launch that it's been defective) is a long time for the main single player mode to stay busted.
For now all you can do is try not to quit and resume an event in progress later. I had to switch to "Short" events in the setting so I could get through all the stages of a location in a single sitting and avoid this bug. It's not a good workaround, but when I started doing that I noticed the the AI wasn't falling behind by minutes anymore.
@maaotus This is not a valid workaround as I played with 85 and 90 difficulty already and the issue still is substantial enough to spoil any championship you make.
