Driver names default to original when playing as your own character

When starting a career or championship, on all external views of the car within this the driver names default to the ones originally on the car you choose (so my own names don’t apply to the car).

  •  I guess you chose official livery? I have the same gripe with the game as I wanted to drive as a M-Sport official driver but had to settle with Tänak's or Loubet's names on the windows (as well as their number on the car) - breaks the immersion imo. I'm not sure why Codemasters didn't account it when developing the game as KT allowed custom names on official liveries.

Also when you have your own names on the car the font is way too small to be realistic. Lastly the most disapointing part is the livery editor - you cannot mirror sides and you do not have a selection of official logos.

Yes, I have the M-Sport Fiesta WRC2. The thing is the game suggests that you can race as yourself including driver names on the cars so I assume it’s a bug rather than just not part of the game?
Would be a real disappointment considering WRC9, 10 and Generations all managed to incorporate it.

  • Possibly lazy negotiations during licensing negotiations or lazy implementation of custom names and numbers on all liveries.
