Actually the first link that OP mentioned has the solution that worked for me. You just need to make a couple of quick modifications to an XML file and then the wheel is detected and all of the buttons become functional and are able to be used for menu navigation.

I also encounter the same problem , ps5 fanatec csl elite BMW GT2 V2 and buttons don’t work in menus

Put your base in compatibility mode, I did that and mine works fine. Make sure you restart your game. The wheel will read as a Logitech but set that as your primary and you're good to go
- 2 years ago@shredhed79 thanks, will try again today. With compatibility mode It's shows a different base - CSL ClubSport and It requests for configuration again. Does the force feedback the same with compatibility mode? I am just afraid that in compatibility mode not all features of DD base will be properly used(

Well I'm on ps5 and compatibility mode works just fine for me, did you restart your game and system?
