Is this being looked at? I have seen no confirmation from EA? I'm thinking of ditching my Fanatec pedals for Simagic. What does Fanatec think of that? Don't they sponsor this game?
This NEEDs to be looked at. The way I am confirming my bottleneck on the Fanatec controllers (pedals) is also by comparing my CPU time on a 9900KS vs nbates' old Ryzen 5 3600
My CPU time should be lower than the 3600 Ryzen but it's significantly higher. poop

I've reported this issue in the past, but so have many others. This bug report seems to be the one floating to the top so I'll add another post to it.
This issue still exists after today's V1.4 patch, so this bug still needs to be open and addressed.
Testing V1.4 this morning confirms the same as usual behavior: when vsync turned off so my framerate is unrestricted, I will get 81fps as reported by the Steam overlay while in the driving view WITH my Fanatec V3 pedals connected via USB. If I then unplug my pedal unit, my fps immediately jumps to 110fps. Then I plug the pedal unit back in, and it drops to 81fps again.
The frame rate does not limit like that when out of the driving view, so it may have something to do with how the game is sampling the Fanatec pedal device when you are actually trying to drive. No other racing product I've ever used on my PC has a problem like this, so it seems to be something unique to how WRC is interacting with the Fanatec pedals.
I normally run with vsync on with my 60hz monitor, so this limit does not affect me significantly... yet. but if i ever upgrade my monitor it will become a problem, like it is for many others.

Yeah the issue is still there...
But if i hide my pedal and route it through vjoy the game still stutters occasionally over 120 fps due to huge CPU spikes on 5800X3D, so i suffer due to multiple bugs.
There is no refund possibility of course, this all industry is a joke, in practice you do not have anything to protect you as a customer. I have 2 hours to decide if the game is okay? I usually need 3-4 hours even to configure everything properly on my sim rig when i install a new game...
Goodbye 45 EUR, Goodbye EA, you will live in my memories forever!

Wow, I thought the only problem with using the USB connection (that works perfectly in all other PC-based games and is needed for SimHub) was the ridiculous console-style calibration issues where the game clearly cannot figure-out that it is normal to have separate pedals.
Now I realize there is also a performance issue that is shared with other titles!! Even more outrageous that this hasn't been fixed by 1.4 update (since it is well-known and therefore should have been addressed prior to release).
