Fanatec CSL elite v2s causing frame drop via USB
Product: EA SPORTS™ WRC
Platform:Steam-PC
Summarize your bug When using Fanatec pedals that are plugged in to the PC via USB instead of the wheel base, Frame rate will dip by up to 50% from 180/190fps to 85-95ps. This can be easily reproduced by unplugging and plugging in the pedals during game (video attached with FPS/performance monitor in top left corner)
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Plug Fanatec CSL elite, Elite v2 or Clubsport V3 pedals in via USB and not the wheel base. This will cause the FPS dip (video linked below)
What happens when the bug occurs? FPS will dip by up to 50% when the pedals are inserted. When removed, the FPS will return to normal levels (see video attached) https://youtu.be/xs-sUTUm-G8?si=40hhtAEmsWCbPyzC
What do you expect to see? Frame rate upward of 150+ fps during stages. However, it will usually not increase over 95 with pedals inserted via usb
could potentially be a CPU issue with the way it's handling inputs from two sources. As GPU usage drops dramatically as it's not being provided the frames to draw
