Had similar problems. Gears bound incorrectly. Steam/Fanatec clubsport shifter (default settings in game seem to bond correctly) In the end I set up a stage then went into the Fanatec control hub and recalibrated each gear. Then it works fine.
incidentally once WRC had mis bound the bear it took the same bindings into DR2
