Fanatec shifter not working in H pattern Xbox series x

Product: EA SPORTS™ WRC
Platform:Xbox Series X
Summarize your bug Fanatec shifter will not work in H pattern mode
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try and use Fanatec shifter in H pattern mode with correct input selected, H pattern with manual clutch in game menu
What happens when the bug occurs? Unable to select any gears
What do you expect to see? Working H pattern shifter

Will not work and if you try to map inputs yourself in the menu your unable to bind any inputs with the shifter

    Try booting the Xbox again with the shifter in H pattern mode if you hadn't already.  And restart the game if it's in quick resume after.  I found the same when I tried first time, but I'd booted the Xbox with the shifter in sequential mode, and the Xbox/game seems to ignore h pattern mode this way. 

    After a reboot in h pattern mode I was all good.

    Try booting the Xbox again with the shifter in H pattern mode if you hadn't already.  And restart the game if it's in quick resume after.  I found the same when I tried first time, but I'd booted the Xbox with the shifter in sequential mode, and the Xbox/game seems to ignore h pattern mode this way.

    Hi you can fix this issue by choosing "restart console" make sure your game is not on quick resume and the shifter is in h pattern. It will work but is a piain in butt. 

    Ea wrc has its flaws and this is something that needs to he looked at

    Same problem still exists. Restarting the game is not a ‘fix’, there is clearly an issue identifying inputs and that needs to be fixed. 

    Why bother having a menu item ‘Manual Auto-Select’ if it just doesn’t work?

    If I have done any single stage with the shifter set in sequential mode, leaving and starting a stage in a manual H-pattern vehicle after switching the physical switch to H-pattern on the shifter means I have no input recorded for any stick position, changing the options to ‘Manual H-pattern’ in the menu does nothing, I have to force quit the game (often then loosing a shakedown) and restart with the shifter mode already set physically. 

    This is ONLY an issue in this game, Dirt Rally 2.0 works perfectly as does AC.

    Agree with the above.

    100% this problem still plagues this game on xbox with Fanatec gear. For this to still be an issue and not addressed over a year after this games launch is inexcusable. CM_TGK  anyone at codemasters care to chime in? Why has this not been fixed?...

    We are sick of the workaround 

    Now since the most recent update even the work around does not work. Please advise..
