Game crashes when clicking "Continue Career"

Since today's update (v1.4.0), when I try to resume my Career, the game instantly crashes. I've tried several times but the same thing keeps happening.
I was between events in the Career, in season 4.
V1.4 installed the other day and I've been playing successfully.
I just finished a tournament and after ending (where it should return to the career screen) I got a crash to desktop, and UE Crash Reporter prompt.
Now, whenever I start the game up again and enter career the same error occurs and crashes to desktop. I'm worried this might mean the save file is now corrupt due to the crash.
