Game crashes when clicking "Continue Career"

@EA_Groguet " If a player has experienced this crash, there is a chance that their Career Mode progress has been lost with no ability to recover. " So if everyone who had experienced the crash (almost everyone, who wanted to continue his career) is at high risk, that even after the update, the career is permanently lost?? So i will wait till January to find out, that even after the update I will need ti start from the scratch. Or do I understood it not correctly?
