Hi Groguet and Team,I really want to support this game as it is a lot of fun and as a SW Developer I know things get complicated as soon as persistent user data is involved.I also understand that these developers deserve their holidays and I'm sure that this plays a role in the setting of this date.Nonetheless I have to say I'm disappointed and many will be because the bug mostly affects people that already played a lot of career mode!! So waiting over the holidays, when many of us would have time to play the heck out of it, is sad for us even though understandable. Obviously I understand from your message there is no quickfix that would allow us to just reset any compromised benefactor goals to some known dummy goal that works even if we could never reach it based on our state of our season (obviously this would have to be opt in as not everybody likes failing goals, I don't care though). That would be a good way to circumvent temporarily but alas not possible without further corrupting what's wrong. Everything so far is bad and you can definitely be blamed for not testing the introduction of a new rally into career but it's not as frustrating as my last point quoting from your message:"If a player has experienced this crash, there is a chance that their Career Mode progress has been lost with no ability to recover."So we could wait for continuing our career for one month and in the end we could have started over all along?I'm sorry, but that's just saying: You better start your career over. It's not SNAFU, it's a meltdown! I don't know what I will do now, probably first play the hell out of clubs as much as I can but I might not be willing to wait one month just for finding out if my case is fixable and bite into the very sour apple of starting my career over. In many areas as well as in my area of work losing your save files/persistent data is unforgivable. And quite honestly it is also pretty much unforgivable in games for the career mode, the one thing that is supposed to be persistent.It's not easy but if that's the best that's not good enough for me to give this a positive review unfortunately. If you can break your game so bad with a planned introduction of a rally that the main game mode is broken for over a month, something is wrong.One last thing for everyone though: It's just a game and I definitely don't envy Groguet or anyone having to deal with the community reaction. I think my critique is mostly civil and I want to appeal to everyone to weigh your words before submitting. Also I wish everyone at Codemasters and EA as well as all WRC players happy and joy filled holidays!

What week (if you remember) you were in before the update: I believe 5 or 6. I was at the start of Rally Sweden, the second WRC2 event of the Season.

Same problem. Console XBOX One S, 3rd season 1st wrc2 just began. It happens every time I try to resume my career mode.

Another case here of happening 100% of the time, on Xbox Series X.
Season 3, WRC2, not sure how far along as I hadn't played the game for a couple of weeks.

But its seeming to be quite a universal issue.

What week (if you remember) you were in before the update:W1 map monte carlo, before update v1.4.0 my pc always crash to desktop if playing Rallye Monte Carlo : Ravin de Coste Belle, crash to desktop and stuck there in career mode, wait for update and now Game crashes when clicking "Continue Career" COME ON EA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Game crashes as soon as I click "Continue" on Career.
Occurrence: Every time.
Reproduce: Be in the middle of a rally with a pre 1.4 save. Update to 1.4 and click "Continue" for Career. NOTE: I had a custom setup (pre-1.4) applied to my WRC car.
Expected Outcome: Clicking "Continue" loads me back into Stage 2 of Kenya.
Post Crash: Unreal launcher crash reporter appears.
Additional Information: Car was Ford Puma (WRC). Location was Kenya (stage 2 career). Being it's stage 2, I should of been directly loaded into the car. Was on the Fourth (4th) Season having worked up from Juniors (2 seasons), WRC2 and WRC. Can't remember which week it was unfortunately.

Other Comments: Thanks for the otherwise stellar patch! My performance is so much better and am no longer needing to edit the ini files to get it. Also appreciate the reworked setups, handling and new location. While the career mode issue is unfortunately, this patch more than made up for it. Couldn't be happier and know I'll be enjoying lots of WRC over the holidays thanks to all your guys hard work! Much love!

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? After entering career mode using CAREER > CONTINUE clicking in any of the following options crashes the game - CALENDAR - GARAGE - CAREER STATS > CAREER STATS All the other options in this screen don't crash the game
What happens when the bug occurs? I've seen many reports on career mode, but I believe mine is a bit different. I can enter career mode, but can't click in some of the options that would lead to continuing the game
