Game UI does not register Fanatec Rally Module Navigation Inputs (PS5)
Product: EA SPORTS™ WRC
Platform:PlayStation 5
Summarize your bug The short version: The EA Sports WRC UI does not auto interpret all menu navigation buttons (i.e. access start menu, select (x button), menu back, menu up, down and etc); when using a Fanatec Rally Module, while attached to a Podium Hub on PS5. Long Version: I can navigate the PlayStation 5 UI. Gran Turismo UI and Dirt 2.0 UI with the rally module, but for some reason I am unable to do the same when it comes to EA WRC. In order to navigate any UI features like repairing a flat on stage, starting a stage, leaving the service area or selecting an event in career mode; I have to use an actual PS5 controller. That said, when the wheel is connected and set as primary device; when you enter OPTIONS & EXTRAS >> CONTROLS every button input will register under the SELECTED DEVICE and ALL INPUTS headers on the left side of the screen. Therefore, the game recognizes correct inputs but the game does nothing with the information. If you take it a step further and enter EDIT DEVICE I can bind headlights, wipers, clutch and handbrake to the rally module with zero problems.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Plug a Fanatec Rally Button Module into a Podium Hub, connect it to a PS5 and try to navigate the menus.
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing happens, because the game does not translate recognized inputs.
What do you expect to see? Well, I would expect that I should be able to navigate EA Sports WRC UI with the Fanatec Rally module; and I think I may have the solution to the problem: Where the game allows buttons to be mapped to the module (headlights, wipers etc.) and they work; add all the menu navigation options under wheel bindings, because they are currently missing from the list of wheel bindings, but they are all present for controller bindings.
Picture labeled controller shows menu navigation options/bindings when editing a controller.
Picture labeled module shows 2 things, 1: menu navigation options are missing under binding options; and 2) you can see how the game is registering the inputs for both down and X button on the rally module, but again they do not translate to actual input data in the UI
