Impossible to launch game after 1.8 update (PC Steam)

Summarize your bug Since the 1.8 update, the game doesn't launch anymore on my PC via Steam. I click on play, I see the splash screen for a couple of seconds, then it disapears and nothing else happens. Uninstall re-install doesnt fix anything. With or without being logged to EA-app it changes nothing (game doesn't show up in the EA-app by the way). I checked files integrity in Steam and didn't get an error message.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Maybe with a similar config... Intel i9 9900 RTX 3080 32 Gb of ram The game launches on my steamdeck
What happens when the bug occurs? Game loading stops after displaying the splashscreen for a couple of seconds.
What do you expect to see? The game to actually launches, at least in 2D, and then possibly I can finally try it in VR.
