PC Logitech Pro DD Wheel FFB terrible - feels like a broken belt drive wheel

The Force Feeback on the Logitech Pro Direct Drive wheel is terrible.

It actually feels like you are using a belt drive wheel, where the belt is broken, or badly degraded.

The best way to describe it is when turning the wheel, at 1 o'clock, 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock etc there is a hard shock through the force feedback, as if it were belt driven, and the belt itself was missing teeth.  Or imagine driving with one set of wheels on railway sleepers.

Spent an hour turning up and down all of the Vibration settings, like Self-Aligning Torque, Wheel Friction, Tyre Friction, Suspension, Tyre Slip, etc.  starting from 0 then turning up slowly to see where the limit was.

Take Wheel Friction, for example.  I turned everything to 0, then turned up Wheel Friction only to maybe 40 or 50.  This kinda felt ok.

But then as soon as I added something else into the mix, like Tyre Friction at 40 or 50, the problem came back.

Dirt Rally 2.0 runs perfectly well, feels like you are really connected to the road.  But same wheel on WRC is terrible.

Please can you try running the game with a Logitech Pro DD Wheel ?

  • I have some notchiness around center with the DD wheel.

These are my settings that I ported over from DR 2.0. I spent a few hours with the game during Early Access

The steering overall feels light and not too communicative. I need to dial in the force feedback more or turn up the nM of the wheel.

I'm wondering if some of the issues will be solved with Logitech G software supporting the game.

  • Hey mate, thanks so much for sharing the settings.  I'll definately give this a try.
