Problem with snow and rain on the windshield

Product: EA SPORTS™ WRC
Platform:PC
Summarize your bug Problem with snow and rain on the windshield. When it snows, unfortunately, snowflakes do not fall on the glass and do not impair visibility. And the snow in the game looks very unrealistic. This means there is no need to use wipers. The problem with raindrops is similar, there is no need to use wipers. In addition, it does not obstruct the field of vision, especially when you enter a deep puddle. The water should then blur the entire surface of the windshield and the wipers should collect it.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When turning on the rally and select the weather as rain or snow, turn on the car's interior camera.
What happens when the bug occurs? No snow falling on the windshield, no windshield wipers needed. There is no point in using the wipers when it is raining.
What do you expect to see? I would like to see snow falling on the windshield, the need to use the wipers, and in case of rain drops it would make the field of vision difficult. When driving into a large pool, all the windows would be blurred by water, and only after using the wipers would you be able to see the road ahead.

  • The snow not hitting the windshield is hilarious, because if you switch to an exterior camera you do see they have an effect on those camera views where flakes occasionally create droplets that affect the visibility slightly. Still not enough to matter or impair driving as real snowfall does.

Dirt Rally 2.0 had similar issues with poorly implemented weather effects. However, in that game the snow did actually hit the windscreen, but there was zero accumulation and the effect was minimal so you still didn't need to use wipers during any snowfall. It was basically like what you see on the exterior camera lenses here.

I really hope they improve all the weather effects. They break all immersion in those conditions (especially in cockpit view), and a little bit of love goes a long way.

  • This is seriously immersion breaking for me. And not only snow or rain, overall the windshield and its behaviour / graphics is either very poorly made or bugged. In most of the cars, even if you set wipers to manual - the windshield somehow magically cleans itsself. What i mean is, that the main part of the windshield where the wipers can reach is always clean, and only the outside parts of the windshield get some kind of dirt on them. So even if you have wipers on manual and you dont use them, the window stays clean. In some cars, the window gets a bit of dirt if you drive very very long stage, but mostly nothing. What is the point of having wipers in the game and what is the point of having setting to turn them to manual, when its basically useless

@Forti1991z I Can easily drive in heavy rain at night, without using windshield wiper. The immersion so bad at this time... ☹️
