Racenet distance figures are wildly incorrect.
Racenet telemetry graphs show a distance marker in meters if you mouse over any point to compare, as so:
However, this figure is impossible. 89,036 meters correspond to 55 miles, which is longer than any single stage in EA WRC.
This problem seems to be consistent across all stages. Bio Bio at Rally Chile is listed as 123,394 meters. That's 76.6 miles. Talanghilirair at AOC Pacifica is listed as 115,600 meters.
If we convert those values to feet, we get 21.9 miles for Talanghilirair and 23.37 miles for Bio Bio. These are still somewhat incorrect, but much closer to the actual stage lengths of 20.1 miles and 21.6 miles, respectively.
What is the deal? What unit is this distance in? It appears to be something close to "feet", but not quite.
Edit: I did some testing by driving in circles at Rally Italia, and it seems the discrepancy for the units in feet is that Racenet measures the distance the car traveled along the stage, not the actual length of the stage. So these units are in feet, and the measurement is just presented incorrectly in Racenet.
