- It's a shame that this happens and after 2 weeks they still haven't resolved it. If I had known, I wouldn't have bought the game. I'm not going to recommend it to anyone. In addition to the problem of the difficulty level that drops when you load the game, the graphics do not work. The game doesn't run smoothly, it jerks.
A shame.... I also saw the issue many times.
Most of the time when quitting the game in the middle of an event and loading the save to complete it.After the restart, the AI is probably not set to the correct difficulty and drops minutes at every stages until the end.
For me, this is the main issue in the game right now,- @Dzouz it is not a save reload issue. I had this happen today on WRC1 with AI @ 90% mid session. I did not closed the game nor exited to the menus. It happened on the second stage of my session mid event.
It wasn't related to damage either as the AI damage logs were clean. @FelipeSeixas29 Hello.
On my side I saw it more often when loading a save. I mean that the AI completely drop, loosing around 1min30 on a short stage and more than 2 minutes on longer ones. And then this will not change until the end of the event.
However, this morning on a Monte Carlo event in WRC2. I lost stage 1 by about 10sec (short stage). Then I won the second stage by around 45sec (18km stage). No major mistakes on both stages. And on stage 3-4 and 5 they were back in contention beating me for a few seconds every time.
And then I saved the game, came back to play stages 6 to 9 and had the bug were they dropped 8min in 4 stages...
So on my side I see 2 issues. The one when the AI drops several minutes at every stage and will never reconver until end of the event.
And another one were on some stages, the AI level is inconsistent.
On your event where you had the issue at stage 2, how did they behave at the next stages ? And did they really drop arounf 1min30 or 2min or less ?Regards,
@DzouzI had no issues on Mexico 2nd stage (2nd event on a custom championship). It started on 3rd stage. At the end of 2nd stage (AI @ 90%) I was in 9th with 14 seconds deficit to the first place. On Stage 3 @ Mexico, I was ahead of second place on that stage by 2+ Minutes with a damaged car and went into first place overall on the event by 1:50+ minutes from second place.
With the pace I was putting in, I would probably finish in 6th if I improved but not first as the AI was putting a good fight until the drop off happened.- If you noticed though with the Monte Carlo rally set to long length the Pra D'alert stage should be the 6 starts from the col del tourini without snow on the ground and it is impossible since in all the other passes to get to the summit the last km are with snow and ice. If you try with medium rally instead the stage is correct and they don't lose time.
This game is full of bugs doesn't seem possible they are the same as dirt 2.0 Oh thanks for the explanation. it is probably what I experienced !

A shame.... You’ve posted the same thing 5 times now. We get it.
I’m sort of wishfully hoping that they will push a hot fix for the AI. I’m a staunch defender of this game and a huge huge fan of playing it but this bug is seriously hurting the game and is rendering all single player modes pointless.
I know it won’t happen but it really needs to.
I played the whole weekend Career and somehow the bug never showed up since the last update. I had good fights withe the AI with 85% difficulty. Its easier to win 1997-2001 Rallys for example then WRC Events. I became 4th in the WRC Mexico Event in Medium lenght. So 5 Stages.
So I am confused if it is really fixed now or not, becuase a few of you seems like still having the issue!
@NoggbossI played almost everyday since 1.3 patch and was just about to approve the game as a whole right at the moment it happened to me Saturday morning. It may seem the issue is gone until it happens.
It is a sudden AI pace drop off. Is an on and off thing.
I did 1 hole event (4 stages) and it happened on the 2nd event 3rd Stage. So the 7th stage of the championship I made. WRC1 class.It hasn't been fixed. Just follow these steps to reproduce the bug.
- Start an event.
- Complete the first stage.
- Select exit, leave, and close the game.
- Open the game again and run the second stage.
There you go, bug reproduced. And it's unacceptable because it completely ruins the career. What's the point of playing if you're going to win every event?
