Stretched car decals

what the hell is this, there is no way i can edit a livery only there are some weird stripes

It happen with the Rally1 cars.
Before 1.3, it happened only in game, but not in the menu.
Now in both scenarios.

Im having the same issues with the stretching and I also have horrible performance when trying to add decals (3 FPS max)

It's worth noting that the issue only happens on GTX 1000 series cards, and it might even be a driver bug - making a RenderDoc capture on GTX 1070 and replaying it on an RTX 3070 does not reproduce this issue.

Low performance when editing decals, and stretched driver numbers/nameplates are both the same issue.

Unfortunately I have the same problem. Neither patch nor graphics card (1080 Ti) driver update have changed anything.
Please do something. Puma WRC cannot be driven like this.

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to the livery editor, and add a decal on any part of the car.
What happens when the bug occurs? The decals won't size correctly, or move properly and will cause the game to freeze. This happens on any portion of the car and will not allow me to have custom liveries.
What do you expect to see? The custom decals appear properly/

This bug occurs every time I try to use the livery editor. I can't get screenshots as it freezes everything.

I devised a proof-of-concept fix by replacing the decal shader in-game with the one I recreated. This might serve as a good proof that this is fixable. The following screenshots are done on GTX 1070.

This proof-of-concept fix corrects both broken liveries and poor performance in the Livery Editor - so I am hoping Codemasters can fix it officially without much trouble.

More information - the decal shader is not the only one affected by this bug, car paint is too. On 10 series cards, painting bonnets/roofs/mirrors is impossible.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It was reported on the bug report early on during the games release, but the issues are persisting and there was a couple issues that I didn't see pop up. These exist on a GTX1060 GPU
What happens when the bug occurs? Any time you try to create a livery
What do you expect to see? Stretches in decals on car, sluggish color options, borderline unusable decal editor due to decals placed on incorrect regions and stretched bizarrely

Stretching textures that vary in levels of coverage on the car, sometimes a single stripe, other times coating the bumper, bonnet, sides and back with various smears and stretches.

Color editing is incredibly sluggish, with no way to quickly navigate the bar outside of ticking it up single points at a time, usually at only one or two ticks a second. With three bars to arrange, this can make selecting a single color take several minutes at a time, which whilst not preventing the player from doing so, is abhorrently tedious for even the standard of paints.

Adding decals is also incredibly bugged, being very slow to load a decal onto a car, and almost universally being incorrect when it does so. Decals often appear on the incorrect parts of the car or stretch and tear over the full car itself, and the ability to modify the decal to sort it is incredibly slow beyond consideration that it's hard to see if there's any effect actually happening when you try to do so. It's wholly unusable in this current state. I have attached a screenshot of a white circle decal added to the bonnet of the car, with zero edits done to its size, position or dimensions, where it quite clearly is coating every part of the car, besides, bizarrely, the bonnet.

Additionally, though it isn't a bug in itself, an option to mirror decals from the left to right of a vehicle would be an excellent QoL feature.
