1) For Force Feedback steering wheels is definitively not recommanded to use the rest mode on PlayStation (same for the Quick Resume on Xbox).
These modes are optimized for gamepad controllers but not for wheels (and create some issues).
So to avoid steering wheel issues, the best is to completely closed the game before launching it again.
2) It's better to Turn On the PlayStation before plugging the wheel on the console = plug the USB only when the PlayStation is On.
