Summarize your bug Cumulative timing in multiplayer lobbies is bugged
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Create a private lobby with friends. PC. Cross-play disabled. No AI. Play a multi-stage rally. After second stage, 20-120 minutes are added to random players in the lobby. Sometimes after every stage.
What happens when the bug occurs? Cumulative time for all stages in a rally is incorrect
What do you expect to see? Correct cumulative times for players in rally
Private lobby with friends. PC. Cross-play disabled. No AI. Create a multi-stage rally. After second stage, 20-120 minutes are added to random players in the game. Sometimes after every stage. Kind of defeats the whole purpose of a rallying game, doesn't it? :P
- 2 years ago@Myself9 I experienced this issue on Wednesday the 27th. Shortly after finishing the second stage in multiplayer lobby, I had an extra 14 minutes added onto my time. Went from narrowly holding the lead to no more competition.
- 2 years ago@Myself9 following, it's making lobbies unplayable. I play from Steam with both Steam and Epic users, first stage is ok, from second stage starts to bug times
- 2 years ago@Myself9 Happens basically every time in online multiplayer when there is more than 1 stage in the event. Based on my experience of few dozens of "quickplay multiplayer" events, the total times of an event are always calculated incorrectly to some of the players. And in addition the accumulated points of the rally are also calculated incorrectly for some of the players.
In practice this means you cannot really compete in a multiplayer event, unless you calculate both the times and the points yourself on a piece of paper. The only way to have a multiplayer competition is to add just 1 stage per event, which kind of misses the core point of rally, where you are supposed to be fast for the whole weekend, not just in one stage to win. "Like racing, but rally", duh.
