I have some good news for you!
After investigating the issue, our team has found a solution and pushed it live on EA app. I am thrilled that some of you are confirming you can play again!
Meanwhile, similar issues on Steam continue to be investigated.
In order to help our team, could you try to boot the game in another machine with the same Steam account and see if this keeps happening?

It started to work for me.
First I confirmed what others reported about EA app having 2 Destop app folders. Removing one made the game working, but created other issues. Removing and restalling EA app solved the issue.
To confirm something was changed, before it was failing on a brand new windows installation that never had EA app before
So now it is working, and it is better than ever (VR, Quest3).
