After dealing with this issue for a couple of days, I was finally able to get this to work on Steam.
I also finally found some proper steps to walk me through getting it all done. It involved backtooling/removing the KB5045594 Windows System Update.
I found these steps in the Steam Community Discussions, shared by user 'NicksSkillz', which solved the problem for me:
To uninstall the Windows update KB5045594, you can follow these steps:
- Open Settings
- Go to Windows Update: Navigate to Update & Security > Windows Update > View update history
- Uninstall updates: Click on Uninstall updates at the top
- Find KB5045594: In the list of installed updates, locate KB5045594
- Uninstall: Select it and click Uninstall. Confirm if prompted
After rebooting my PC, the game was able to get beyond the EA Sports splash screen and load up as normal. I've yet to play and notice any issues, but I'll update here if I do catch anything.
Hope this is able to help some others on here!
