Update 2.1.0 the game crashes to desktop at launch at the EA Logo intro

i've just bought the game on steam and can't launch it because of the anticheat. Basically launch the game, go to eaac splashscreen and then it close without launching anything

win10 - steam

game installed on e:/ drive but changing it doesnt solve anything

same issue on F124//BF1 and every game having the stupid EAAC

is there any fix or i've to refund this aswell?

Hi could you please give a status about how it is managed, when do you expect to fix the issue ?

Could you prepare a real gift for our patience... I bought this game at the early beginning and don't even have enough fingers to count the big issues we encounter...

That's insane ! What a poor software management !

Every release is some gigabytes to download that's not an eco friendly manner of delivering updates.

Please DO SOMETHING FAST and RELIABLE

The team is investigating the issue and I have sent all the details players have shared on this thread. Unfortunately, I don't have an ETA on when this will be solved, but I will keep you posted and I will update the thread as soon as I have more information.

I don't understand anything anymore! After this error at startup (somehow it was solved), when I started playing, the game started to freeze and close. (regardless of the settings and regardless of the stages). I tried both low and high settings and it still freezes. I tried to play Monte Carlo and Poland and Japan and the game freezes and closes.
It's a total disappointment with this 2024 pack. Before it, everything was working fine.
I play it on the EA app.

I have not be able to play this game since July when this anti cheat update came out.
this is PATHETIC. None of the fixes in any of these threads work and you keep closing threads saying "Issue has been fixed" when it clearly hasn't.
extremely pissed off and you guys release a PAID DLC while this issue is going on for months...

The only thing they can do quickly is delete the comments on this forum and that`s it.
Peoples buy the game for money and cant get in, but no one can find the problem for almost a month now. Funny.

I finally requested a refund from Steam.
EA's behavior is unacceptable, you are making fun of the players! You prove to us that the acquisition of Codemasters was a mistake, they did a better job without you!
Also, you made fun of us with VR. At the time when the game was starting well, I tried it with my G2 reverb: it was absolutely unusable!
I'm going back to DIRT 2.0, it, at least, is a successful and PLAYABLE game!

I am experiencing the same issue as many other users: when I launch the game, it immediately returns to the desktop without any visible gameplay or action.

I even went as far as reinstalling Windows entirely, suspecting that the WRC 24 expansion pack might have caused file corruption during installation. However, it seems the issue originates on your end.

Additionally, I do not understand why it is not possible to uninstall this expansion pack directly from the game.

This malfunction severely impacts the user experience, and the lack of options to manage expansions makes it even more frustrating.

Could you please provide a solution as soon as possible, ideally in the form of a patch? Alternatively, a simple option to disable or uninstall non-functional expansions would already be an improvement.

what is the status of fixing ?

I havn't been able to play the game for weeks. I've tried moving the game file from sata ssd e drive to nvme c drive (as some suggest), but it still won't launch past splash screen. Is there any update please?

They won't hurry to fix this, I've not seen one meaningful reply from @EA_Groguet EA have our money and that's all that seems to matter to them.

Some people have not been able to play since the 1.9 patch and still no solution, so don't hold your breath for a fix.

Today my win 11 got a big update, and guess what?

Nothing changed, the game is still unplayable. Come on EA fix it this year.

So @EA_Groguet what's the latest update? Your lack of feedback doesn't fill me with confidence that you are taking this matter seriously. This thread has nearly 200 comments from your dissatisfied and angry customers that have all paid for EA to ruin our game and not provide any reassurance that a fix is on the way.

I gave up ... uninstalled WRC24 and will never install it again - wasn't able to play it for weeks now although I paid a lot of money.

In addition I will neither buy any game from EA in the future nor from steam as they will not refund as I had the game for too long (played only 16 hours due to the stutter desaster on a 5800X3D/RTX4090 combo during the first few month).

In addition I still have to blame EA for the wrong advertisment of triple screen support that never made it into the game.

Thank you for still caring. I seriously wonder why you investigate into third-party apps since the conflict seems to be caused by changed windows code?

I am not using any third-party apps since I was under the impression that it isn't possible anymore after the introduction of anticheat. So I did not try to use Reshade although I would have liked to, FYI.

I don't even use any AV software apart from Windows defender, I do use DNS filtering though.

As @chichi1967 Steam don't want to refund me!
The problem arrived at the same time with the antishit system

After updating windows 10 to KB5046613 the game works again for me.

Yes it's working with update KB5046613 for Windows 10.
