Apex Legends download from the EA app is bugged

I'm not the only person with this issue, and I posted the other forum post above. 

Seems like with the release of S25, Something is wrong with the installer.

I do a fresh install of the game when a new update comes out because I've had some weird shader bugs in the past so now its just a habit with each release of a new season.

This go round I and a few others have gotten a "The final stages of installation didn't go as planned." error message. I went through to do all suggested fixes and none of them worked. I just recently tried to install Sims and that, however, did work. So it seems to be an issue with downloading and installing Apex directly through the EA app.

    I downloaded the game successfully 😀

    For those, who want to speed up the process: copy 3 folders from the Steam version (audio, media, paks) to a new folder "E:\Apex", then force EA App to download the game there.

    Hey everyone,

    Thanks again for the patience while we were getting this cleared up.

    We've just pushed a fix that should resolve this, so if you're using EA app to launch Apex please give that another try when you have a chance. If you're still running into this issue it may help to clear the cache on the EA app now that the fix is live.

    I also want to know as I have two id, one has heirloom while other id is lvl 20 something and that id is linked to steam but I want steam to be linked with my main id
