Narrsicist Yeah, that does sound like the EAC is being weird, (which doesn't surprise me as sometimes it would still be running for Apex when I had switched to playing Fortnite for the day).
Narrsicist wrote:Matter of fact i do have a screenshot(would provide if asked) showing my Easy anti-cheat wasnt working (error 87)
If it was caused by a bug, that would be useful to share.
Narrsicist wrote:i didnt know at the time but the gameplay was normal and nothing looked weird or worng, it was apparently broken or corrupted Chatgpt said.
I personally don't like EAC as I've gotten errors before saying that the game "was not running the anti-cheat" on launch or randomly after a match, (which either forced me to restart the game or it had let me continue playing, (and I would always manually restart the game at that point as well)).
Narrsicist wrote:I tried to repair the EAC but it wouldnt work so i deleted it and verified my apex files so i could re install it back safely , but that also didnt work.
From what I understand, Error 87 usually means there was a conflict with Window's services, a corruption in the game's files, or a compatibility issue, (which the common fixes involved reinstalling the EAC, reinstalling the game, updating Windows, updating system drivers, etc. (but that doesn't always work).
Narrsicist wrote:Same thing happed to me after i got banned on apex. before i knew the main issue i played a diffrent game that runs with Easy anti-cheat, i was able to play one single game then the second one i got kicked out the match and a pop up showed that i was banned for 24 hours so i instantly knew it was something wrong with the EAC
With this, that sounds more like you are having a compatibility issue, so are you running any kind of anti-virus program, (other than Windows Defender), or anything that may interfere with the EAC? Is your PC running Windows 11? Do you have secure boot and other required settings enabled?
I did have Malwarebytes installed alongside Windows Defender to add an extra layer of protection.
(Someone recommended Malwarebytes to me so I could have extra protection alongside Windows Defender.)
but i never had any problems with it or like interfering with The EAC
Ive always had it installed on my pc and every game was running or working normal nothing was wrong no error or ban
The game I mentioned me being banned after i got banned on apex was fortnite. First i got banned for 24 hours then the next day i logged on Fortnite to find out it turned to 365 days (a year)
it was only games with EAC that was getting me banned i was playing Valorant after all that stress (Same day) and nothing happened no ban no error
And you know that the Kernel anti-cheat on Valorant is on another level — it sees way more than normal anti-cheats, so it’s way better at catching cheaters. If I were actually cheating, kernel-level anti-cheat would’ve caught it instantly.
That’s why I know I wasn’t cheating — I’ve never used cheats, and there was nothing for a kernel-level anti-cheat to detect
PSA My apex appeal has been denied six times now, and each response has been the same automated message.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Hmm weird... I wonder if it got turned into a year since the EAC had banned you in Apex, (although that doesn't make sense as those are two different games, despite using the same anti-cheat), like if a ban in one game had mattered, you would of been banned in every EAC protected game.

Yup, it doesn't mess around.

That's unfortunate, (and I did report the issue as a possible bug to EA, (however I'm not sure if that would change anything)).

Yeah, what a sad way to lose my Apex Legends account. I got very lucky obtaining my first heirloom at level 78, then my second one at level 122. Before the ban occurred, I was around level 300–310, I’m pretty sure, but I don’t remember exactly.
At this point, I’m debating whether to keep appealing or just accept the loss and move on.
In the meantime, I’ve been playing Arc Raiders, and I’ve heard it uses EAC. So I for sure know EAC is working now, not broken (since I fully clean-restarted my PC), but overall the only games I have installed in my PC are Apex and Arc Raiders and The Epic Launcher.
Apart from the Apex ban, I’m currently waiting on Epic to respond to my appeal, which I submitted 12 days ago.
(I installed apex legends back because i thought i was going to get my account back, Sadly i was wrong)

Thanks for mentioning it to EA Midnight9746, We really appreciate it.
I just want to make clear that I already sent 8 appeals and all were rejected even with video proof. Now I can’t submit any more appeals.
I attached my clip again showing normal gameplay, no cheats, nothing suspicious. I just got kicked mid game and banned.
This might sound crazy, but it is not just 1–2 players affected, it is thousands across EA games, not just Apex but also Battlefield and FIFA.
I hope this can help the team investigate the false ban issue.

Narrsicist If Arc Raiders is letting you play, that's good at least.

albinextdoor That does sound crazy, but if it is happening across games on that large of a scale, that sounds more like an issue with EAC.

Hello, community manager. Could you please report this issue to EA? My account has 3 heirlooms, but they have been mistakenly banned. I am feeling very frustrated and appealing is useless. I just submitted my appeal, but it was rejected after one or two hours. This must have been a response from AI
