Frame drops based on where camera is looking

I've seen several people from a few weeks ago say they've had this issue but I've only just experienced it today. Only a couple days ago my game was staying at 180-200 fps consistently, now it will drop as low as 60 sometimes depending on which direction I'm facing. Standing in the firing range looking back and forth it slides between 200 and 100. I've reinstalled drivers, changed in game settings, verified files and reinstalled the game but nothing works. I have to assume it's an error on the game's part from the most recent patch.

Are the devs looking into this & are there any temporary fixes?
