Gift from unknown user

I received a gift in my inbox from and unknown user and the message in my inbox is dated 01-01-1970. I think this is a scam, can you look into this. I did not open it because I’m sure it’s a scam or something malicious.

I did receive and opened it, but it just keeps coming back. I also lost my first time purchase bonus for some reason even when I haven't bought anything from apex at all. 

StounysCZ​ Yeah, I had this happen as well yesterday where it said that all 4 art tracker sets from the creator challenges were "new", (however my gift inbox had the correct dates and each gift contained the correct username of the player who had gifted me each art tracker set).

To me, this issue seems like it is on Respawn's side of things, (but who knows).

In the meantime, I don't think you need to worry about the inbox tab and whatever item that was "gifted" should also be marked as "unseen" in your legend locker, (which from the looks of it, you do have something marked as unseen, which is most likely the "gift"):

I have one as well. Can someone at EA confirm how to handle it? I can't delete it. The only option is to open it or ignore it.

IIRC 1/1/1970 is the beginning of time for MS DOS, so it is literally the value 0.

I got it too. I opened it. It's empty. And it won't go away.

Respawn, please fix.

SAME THING HAPPINDE TO ME

Hello,
I have had a gift from an unknown user in my inbox since yesterday. Picture 1
However, after I check the gift, the screen remains empty and the message disappears. Picture 2

After one match or restarting the game, the message reappears. 
It's clearly a bug because the date is 01/01/1970.

Im having the same issue on ps5. I keep getting booted from the server when i try to play now. 

The same thing happened to me. I suspect that this bug might be related to an issue with the reward mail from the previous Ranked Ladder.
