While playing ranked, the server suddenly crashed and I was removed from the match. As a result, I received a 10 minute abandonment penalty and lost double RP, which caused me to rank down. This is extremely frustrating because it is not due to player action but a server-side issue.
This problem has happened to me multiple times. In some matches, the server crashes outright. In others, there is constant lag throughout the game, and once I enter a fight, the delay makes it impossible to react and I get eliminated instantly.
For clarity, my connection is stable:
I use a high-quality LAN cable.
I do not have any internet problems outside of Apex Legends.
This shows the issue is server-related rather than on my side.
Impact:
RP loss and unnecessary 10-minute penalty.
Ranked progression unfairly affected.
Repeated negative experience in ranked matches.
