"sh_items.gnut#840" error, when sorting in weapon skins menu

When attempting to use the Sort function in gun skins, game will frequently freeze, and crash to error:

 "There was a problem processing game logic. Please try again. -------- sh_items.gnut#840 ///// [UI] Invalid settings asset "" (note: must be..."

When attempting to do the same action for legends, error observed is: 

"There was a problem processing game logic. Please try again. ------- sh_menu_models.gnut#3072. [Client] Failed to find model index for model "?". Make sure it is precached."

Error occurs, regardless of weapon or character. Sometimes, if interacting with the skin selection menu first, it can allow sorting after.
